The MICs Group of Health Services––a partnership of 3 hospitals and 3 long-term care facilities––is seeking a MICs Accountant/Special Projects. This is a full-time, non-union position based at Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane with travel to Iroquois Falls and Matheson as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Minimum 2-year diploma level education in Business Administration or 5 years of related work experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel software and the Meditech modules, specifically Billing/Accounts Receivable, fixed assets, general ledger
- Valid Driver’s License (must provide own transportation)
- Bilingual (verbally and written) in both English/French will be considered an asset
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to organize daily workload with minimal supervision
- Team player, ability to work within a team environment
- Interest and related experience in the healthcare field
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Demonstrated focus on quality
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- A satisfactory criminal record check will be required as a condition of employment.
