Why diabetes education?
At least 8.8% of people in Northern Ontario have diabetes. Despite this number, individuals may feel isolated and overwhelmed in dealing with diabetes. A well-structured Diabetes Education Program has been proven to help people cope with diabetes and prevent complications.

- Foot assessments and high risk foot care by Chiropody
- Resource materials
- Outreach activities
- Answering your questions
Who can participate?
- People who have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
- Their family members
- Anyone who has an interest in diabetes

Call your local hospital and leave your name and phone number at ext. 1131 or 2335. We will be pleased to call you back or fill out the form below.
